RON TROXTELL GETS BACK IN
WINNER'S CIRCLE IN SLAMMER SERIES
Ron Troxtell of Williamsburg led
all 15 laps to win the feature race for the Randy Meadors Logging &
Excavating Slammer Series.
"It's been a while since we've
been here," he said after the race. "A couple more cars would make
for some fun racing."
Only three cars were on hand in
the division.
Troxtell and his Troy's Roofing
Caprice No. 95finished six car lengths ahead of Dewayne Smith of
Gray and the Denton's Hardwood Flooring Ventura No. 58, with Shawnda
Lovett of Williamsburg third in the Mountain Men Beef Jerky Impala
No. 15.
Gray's car unfortunately came up
light in post race inspection, giving second place to Lovett.
Troxtell was also the fast
qualifier in 16.111 seconds, and won the four-lap AR Bodies trophy
dash.
